Did you buy it because you needed it, or because t Did you buy it because you needed it, or because the algorithm tricked you? From paper towels to organisers, a lot of what’s popular today is shaped by trends, not real need or usefulness.

Trends move fast, but we (and our homes) don’t need to!
Sometimes the most sustainable choice is not finding a better product; it is noticing what we already have, right at home. Repurposing what you own can meet a need, extend an item’s life, and cut waste, all at once.

So, where do you draw the line between aesthetics and necessity?
What’s one item you’ve reused or repurposed instead of replacing?

Let's build a world where essential things stay on, for everyone, and wasteful ones are let go.

India’s carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions grew just 0 India’s carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions grew just 0.7% in 2025, the slowest in over two decades, as per an analysis by Lauri Myllyvirta for @carbonbrief.

India’s power sector is poised for an inflection point, the analysis says, such that growing electricity demand would be adequately met (or even be exceeded) by clean-energy additions.

Meanwhile, there’s more good news from India’s recently released National Generation Adequacy Plan: over the next 10 years, India is building enough clean power capacity to support a shift towards the #energytransition goal to “electrify everything” – transport, industrial processes, everything.

The not-so-good news? The grid, energy storage, and systems aren’t keeping up.

No Forests? No Water. Here’s how the two are relat No Forests? No Water.
Here’s how the two are related, and why we must conserve our forests to resolve the water crisis.

India’s water crisis is usually framed as a supply problem. But what if it’s actually a forest problem?

Forests regulate rainfall.
They recharge groundwater.
They stabilise rivers.

From the Western Ghats to the Himalayas, these ecosystems quietly power India’s water security. And yet, we rarely talk about them as infrastructure. On the International Day of Forests, let’s learn how forests are indispensable for our water security.
